Triaster Process Map Stencil

Process maps are constructed in Visio from the basic shapes available in the Stencil.

Process Navigator is supplied with a stencil with a default set of shapes. The list below are these default shapes, though your organisation may use a similar, but customised set of shapes.

Shape Definition
Activities are things you do. They use and produce Deliverables.
Used to show an Activity that is performed outside the organisation. Often used when the Activity is brief and the Output Deliverable returns immediately back to the organisation.
Decisions are things you do. Decisions are special types of Activity where, typically, only one of the outputs is produced.
Deliverables are things you produce or use. Internal Deliverables are produced or consumed within the organisation.
External Deliverables are things produced or consumed outside the organisation or outside the scope of the processes that are being mapped.
Handover Deliverables are internal deliverables produced or consumed outside the scope of the department being mapped.
Start/End Deliverables are internal deliverables that end a process. Often used to designate an Archive.
